<image:title>Signs - Outdoor Welcome Sign</image:title>
<image:caption>We wanted to make a sign using our router, but also wanted to highlight the letters using something other than paint or wood burning. We cut up a bunch of copper sheeting, and crushed some glass pebbles, then mixed them together. Coating everything with epoxy gave the sign and letters a nice shine, and also made it weatherproof. The link to the YouTube video of how we made it is below. We hope you like it!</image:caption>

<image:title>Signs - Bar Sign</image:title>
<image:caption>A super quick project, but we were able to try out some different techniques with burning wood. First we outlined the letters with screws, and then rather than painting inside the letters, we used a torch to burn the wood. The screws helped to contain the flames, but we let some of the heat outside to give a nice patina to the background. This was such a simple process, and can be used to create any message you want. <image:caption>This Peace Sign was made out of a repurposed table top, and decorated using an acrylic pour method. We had a lot of fun with this one, and was the first time using this medium. Check out our video on how we made it by clicking the button below.</image:caption>

<image:caption>A local Podcast, which reviews movies and TV shows, wanted something special to display in their studio. The movie reel and microphone, atop the illuminated popcorn bucket (complete with plastic popcorn), reveals what the show is all about. We hand bent the letters, which were made with round metal bar and painted with fluorescent green paint, and then lit with LEDs. The entire sculpture stands about 2 feet tall.</image:caption>

<image:title>Signs - Family Sign</image:title>
<image:caption>We made this sign for a wedding present, which is made out of flat sheet metal and acrylic. The letters were engraved and then filled in with glass paint to give it a translucent effect. The designs in the background was done using an angle grinder and flap disk. The frame is also custom made out of flat metal bar, and we used the same method as the background to give it a brushed effect. Clear acrylic varnish was used to protect the metal.</image:caption>

<image:title>Signs - Henri & Paula Sign</image:title>
<image:caption>This was one of the first pieces that we made using our new welder. We wanted to create a piece of art that incorporated items we both like to use, and which signify our individual personalities.</image:caption>

<image:title>Signs - Auto Repair Shop Sign</image:title>
<image:caption>A local auto repair shop wanted a business sign for their waiting room. Starting with a piece of MDF, which we covered with black vinyl, we then used our vinyl cutter to incorporate their colors and insignia. We created the ‘shadow’ effect, using three different sized letters and colors, placed on top of each other. The finished size was 18” x 24” and still hangs there to this day.</image:caption>

<image:title>Signs - Chrome and Wood Family Sign</image:title>
<image:caption>We made this for friends of ours that moved into a new log home. The letters were hand bent out of round metal bar, welded together and then chromed. We then mounted the letters to a piece of oak, and used a torch behind the letters to give it a shadow effect. Since this is an indoor sign, just a simple spray clear gloss acrylic will protect the piece for years to come.</image:caption>

<image:caption>We had an idea to make a table for our home, and came up with a design using both cherry wood and metal. After cutting the segments of cherry wood to 30 degrees, we arranged them in a circle and joined them together. We wanted to incorporate some metal into it, so we textured metal flat bar with a flap disk and bent the legs into shape. We then bolted the metal legs to the rings, and topped it with a piece of glass we found for $5! Check out our YouTube video to see in detail how it all came together!</image:caption>

<image:title>Furniture - Root Ball Table</image:title>
<image:caption>We pulled a dead tree out of our yard, and after we cut off all the branches, we realized how cool-looking the root ball was, and what a great table it would make! After letting it dry out for a year, we dug out all the dirt and clay from the roots, used a router to smooth out the top and bottom, and then covered it with marine resin. The legs are actually some of the branches that we cut off the tree. Adding the glass top we found at a resale shop finishes this piece perfectly!</image:caption>

<image:caption>We took a damaged and discarded liquor store display and thought we could modify it to look like a wine botte. We modified the shape, then added new supports and shelving. Instead of painting it, we covered it with sheet vinyl, added a touch of chrome strips from our local auto supply store and then added color changing LEDs to give it the look we wanted. We even branded it for ourselves, with the year of our anniversary, and our last name. We love it!</image:caption>

<image:caption>We were commissioned to make a custom cabinet to hold a replica of a Tommy Gun, and wanted to do something in line with the gangster era. <image:caption>We had a lot of leftover composite decking after we built our deck, and couldn’t bear to throw it away to fill up the landfill, so we had the idea to make an outside plant table for our front porch. The design was dictated by the amount of material we had left over, and the best part is, it can stay outside forever without rotting.</image:caption>

<image:title>Wood Projects - Wood and Metal Wall Art</image:title>
<image:caption>We were commissioned to make a special wall sculpture for a married couple’s 20th wedding anniversary. Since they have a daughter, the only theme they wanted us to incorporate into the piece was ‘Three’ to symbolize their family of three. We call this piece ‘Family, Always’. The three joined metal rings symbolizes their special bond as a family. The large wooden frame that surrounds the rings is made of segmented cherry wood, and burned using the Lichtenburg method, which uses electricity to achieve a ‘fractal’ effect. This symbolizes the sometimes fractured things that occur during life, but through it all, the bond of family overcomes it.</image:caption>

<image:title>Wood Projects - Fractal Burning Wall Art</image:title>
<image:caption>It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference. We cut out three different shapes of wood, and then used the Lichtenburg method of wood burning to give it some style. Lichtenburg uses high voltage, but a low amperage, and combined with a liquid medium brushed onto the wood, allows the electricity to flow naturally following the moisture. As a bonus, we also made the display stand, which blew away our customer, who was not expecting that, but was very pleased! We think we achieved our goal!</image:caption>
